Our good friends DJ Eleven & Ayres aka "The Rub" just released the follow up to their debut ep. This is a collection of remixes by awesome producers like XXXchange, Trackademicks and So Shifty..

"Hot and fresh out the kitchen, it's The Rub Remixed! The Rub's first EP of original music was released in June, and the duo (DJ Eleven and DJ Ayres) enlisted a handful of their favorite producers to remix the four songs. Inspired by the legendary Brooklyn party, The Rub Remixed is extremely eclectic, from boom bap hip-hop to rave anthems to chill out vibes. Marco Polo brings a 90s rap aesthetic to "Feel You," enlisting Lil Fame from M.O.P. to add some Brooklyn grime to complement Misun's smoky singing. German dancehall dons So Shifty lift the Natalie Storm feature "Dutty Gyal" to high energy carnival Soca levels, while XXXChange (T&A) keeps the electro feel of the original track but raves it out. Oakland's Trackademicks (Fools Gold) smooths things out with his "Black & White" remix, delivering notes of 80s R&B and Bay slaps. Michna's (Ghostly International) "At Night" remix is deep and lo-fi, like Afrika Bambaata scoring a Michael Mann film.

PTERROR DAK TRILL - NICK MACLAREN

The homie Nick Maclaren bka Forty-One is one talented dude. He's just released his new EP "Pterror Dak Trill"today ("dak" is NZ slang for Marijuana). 

Its a collection of his outstanding instrumentals. You may have already heard Nicks beats in many a Serato Video or if you follow NZ MC David Dallas, as he was the other half of "Frontline"

If you are into HudMo or Ta-Ku or Southern Rap then chances are you are gonna be into this. Nick makes tastefully layered soundscapes with strong 808 drum programming.

Nick is one of these guys who's really good at everything he does and is also one of the best dj's i've known and has worked as a huge part of Serato over the years, so chances are if you enjoy using Serato products, Nick probably had something to with that.

My man Martin Cains aka Lowquid is a video master! I had a pleasure working with Martin at Serato in NZ and he has this thing locked down.
