UNTHINKABLE - KUTCORNERS REMIX FREE D/L

I have been meaning to make this for a while, and I finally got around to it.

This release follows in the R&B theme of the "Body Party Bootleg" and "Call Your Name".

Play this for your girl or sensitive thug, it should set the mood right.

Stay tuned for another one next week!

ZEDD - SPECTRUM (DJ MARVEL'S BUHDDA LOVERS REMIX)

Here is DJ Marvel's flip of Zedd's "Spectrum" keeping things cool & mellow for the ladies and the fellows.

RIHANNA - WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN (DJ MARVEL'S JAZZERCIZE BOOTLEG)

DJ Marvel came through with a funky flip of Rihanna's Where Have You Been in a disco styleee.

DJ MARVEL - "NEW JACK" ft. KEVIN MAH

Finally got around to using these familiar samples with a new twist. I made the drums, added some sounds, got everything sequenced & hollered at Kevin Mah (Love & Electrik) for some synth magic! We Kept it nice and groovy. Hope ya'll enjoy!

Big up to Rhek for the lovely art too!

KUTCORNERS x KICKDRUMS REMIX #2

BLANK CINEMA

This blog post is dedicated to all the people that I hear saying "there isn't a good local music scene in Vancouver". With that being said I have often been one of those people.
However I feel this to be untrue and would like to introduce you to a band that I happen to feel is contributing alot to the city.

The name of the group is
BLANK CINEMA

They are what you would imagine David Byrne might sound like if he was signed to DFA records.

I strongly suggest checking these guys out for yourself, and you can do so HERE and their soundcloud with more goodies HERE

Also stay tuned as I'm currently working on a remix for "money in the bank"
should be out by June.

Dollar$ - Video

Here's a rad video my friends made from New Zealand - Opensouls.

My good friend Jeremy (the Guitar player) remixed this into a blazing 80's dance jam and got "yours truly" to lace the joint with a bassline.

The track should be released later this year on the Serato record label(one of those cool tone control reocrd things on the b side) who also are from New Zealand... like you didn't know that though!

HOLD THE LINE (MARVEL & KUTCORNERS REMIX)

On april 20th the Mad Decent Blog leaked "Hold The Line" the first single from Major Lazer! The original joint has an ill surfer vibe w/ Mr Lexx and Santigold blessing the track. Kutcorners and I couldn't resist to hop on the track for some original production giving it a different feel for the club.  Enjoy!

New edits!

New edits are up for May download em play em. Do the damn thing.

A few months ago I made this "think" edit for the Red Bull 3 style competition. It seemed to get a good response at the time. Also DJ Hedspin played it on the EH!Teams Truth Mix show on flow 93.5 which i thought was pretty cool. Anyway I hope it comes in handy.

Lyn Collins - Think (about feedback) DJ Marvel Edit

I've always enjoyed the original of this joint but never got around to playing it. All i did was simply use some Timbo loops to beef it up for prime time at mainstream clubs. Let me know if it works out for you.

Sly and the family stone - 4 Minutes to Thank You (DJ Marvel edit)

NEW JOINT

In a Disco mood this week, I made this beat and was looking for an accapella to try it out and found Ghostface! This is kind of similar to the Dj Medhi remix but a little more Disco, and a little faster...

Charlie Brown (Kutcorners disco mix) - Ghostface Killah
